History

In 1987, Steven Zalewski opened the Queens-based law firm of Steven Zalewski and Associates, P.C. The firm started as a bustling criminal law practice, but expanded to include real estate and commercial litigation.  By as early as 1988, Steven Zalewski and Associates became a prominent establishment in the New York City legal landscape, helping thousands of clients per year obtain the results they deserve.

In 2006, after practicing as an associate for the international law firm of Lee, Tsai & Partners, Dustin Bowman joined Steven Zalewski and Associates. Mr. Bowman helped expand the firms areas of expertise to include divorce and family law, managed day-to-day operations with Mr. Zalewski, and acted as lead counsel for real estate and commercial litigation trials. In 2008, Mr. Bowman opened his own practice, Dustin Bowman, Esq. P.C. and continued with Steven Zalewski and Associates in an of counsel role.  Since that time, Dustin's practice has been highly successful and his high-profile cases have been featured in The New York Times, The New York PostThe Daily News

In 2012, Mark Anderson joined the fast-paced Steven Zalewski and Associates. In the wake of the Great Recession, Mark expanded the firm's areas of practice to include bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, and quiet title actions. In 2013, Mark established the law firm of Anderson Shen P.C. with his wife Doris Shen and continued on with Steven Zalewski and Associates in an of counsel role. His firm focused primarily on real estate, commercial litigation, and consumer bankruptcy. In its brief history, Anderson Shen P.C. garnered multiple national-level clients and overwhelming acclaim.

Steven Zalewski, Dustin Bowman, and Mark Anderson's individual areas of expertise complemented each other’s and as a result, they decided to cultivate a unified practice, one that would effectively utilize all of their respective areas of expertise and interests. They believe that what wins a case and what makes a successful business and family thrive is the passion that drives it. That is the energy that sets them apart.

Anderson, Bowman, and Zalewski PLLC (ABZ) opened its doors in 2016. Since then, the firm has achieved great success, has received mentions in national publications, and continues its rapid growth. The team at Anderson, Bowman & Zalewski have an exceptional level of enthusiasm, dedication, and nuanced perspective that makes their firm the holistic solution for almost any client.
